| So, I just wanted to let everyone know that today I have officially rejoined Weight Watchers. For those of you who don't know, I was on Weight Watchers before I got pregnant with James. I had lost 50 pounds in 1 year. Yeah for me! Well, now I am back on again. I will not share my start weight at this time. I will do so when I reach my goal weight. I will, however, let you know each week how much I have lost (or gained). Just so you know, I want to lose another 40 to 45 pounds before I am done. I will post my before picture with next Friday's post. Be sure to check back weekly to see my progress. I welcome all encouragement and good recipes that you have to offer. Also, if anyone is thinking of joining just let me know. I would love your company, even if you live far away. Statistics don't lie. People who join Weight Watchers and go to the meetings weekly, lose 3 times as much weight as those who diet on their own. And they keep it off longer. |

Back In The Saddle...Again.
Christmas in Utah
We had so much fun in Utah for Christmas. We all got everything that we wanted. Well, except for a new Dooney for Becky. Hint, hint, Brian. James met all his aunts, uncles, cousins and his "Edpa". (Becky's dad refuses to be called Grandpa.)
James was blessed on Jan. 28th by Brian. He barely fit into his 0-3 month suit. We couldn't button the top button or the sleeves. He looked so handsome anyway. It was a great night!
I took this photo tonight. James is 7 weeks today and I thougtht he looked extra snuggly cute. Don't you agree?Sunday, December 16, 2007
One Month Older, and Wiser Too....
It's hard to believe that James has been with us for a month now! Quite honestly, it is still a bit surreal to have a baby in the house. For Becky, there is nothing more shocking than being woken up in the middle of the night so the little man can have a mid-night snack. Nonetheless, we are so excited and happy to have been blessed with James, and are happy that he is healthy and strong. As can be seen by this photo, he is definitely not camera shy either. He loves to strike a pose, and smile too. I think it has something to do with his MVP outfit (doesn't he look like a little slugger?)
You can see that compared to his little pillow, he has grown significantly since we brought him home from the hospital.
I guess going from 9lbs (post-hospital weight) to 12 lbs at the end of his first month really shows.
Just to put it into perspective, that kind of growth is like an adult going from 150 lbs to 190 lbs in 1 month ( I wouldn't recommend recalculating this, lest you be just as nerdy as Brian). He is our little precious man, and we love to watch him grow.....and sleep. In the words of his Grandma Fila, doesn't he look like a little lamb? He is so excited to meet all of his aunts and uncles at Christmas time.

Too Cute For Words
Here are some pictures from the last few days. It is still a bit weird to have a baby around here. Kind of surreal. I wonder when it will sink in that we are really parents.
James and mommy.
James and Grandma Sharon. We just love this baseball outfit. He is almost too big for it so we put him in it whenever we can. He is trying to get his fingers in his mouth. He loves to suck on his hand.

3 Weeks And Counting...
Here are a couple of pictures of James from today. I just love babies in stripes!
He loves to sleep on his tummy but is only allowed this luxury with adult supervision and so he took advantage of his tummy time today to grab some zzz's. Lifthing a huge head is hard work after all. He usually spends his days eating and sleeping and being a generally great baby. We even went for a walk in the park today.
I have learned that if I promptly feed, change and burp him that he is a happy little guy. He even gave me 7 hours of straight sleep last night. Lucky me!
