Week by week 38

(March 14-20) This was a fun week. The weather was nice enough for a few park outings with friends and we even ventured out to the Versoix Chocolate Festival (via train).
James trying to take a drink at Bois de la Batie. We went with a bunch of friends. This park is one of our favorites because it is pretty close and there are so many things to do. There are animals, a sand box, water, swings, slides, lots of grass and woods. It really has something for everyone.
This is James' first time trying the "big boy" swing. Do you think he is proud of himself?Johnny in the swing. Not as impressed this day.
But when I let him get into the sand for the first time he was in heaven!
I was dreading this time but he--thankfully!--doesn't eat it nearly as much as James. He tried a bit but then just liked picking it up and watching it fall through his fat little fingers. And crawling around in it and basically pretending to be a big kid.
He didn't want to spend any time in the stroller so I had to let him down to examine all the leaves and grass and everything else.
James playing with two of his friends, Debora and Elias.
We also went to La Petite Decouverte a couple times. James really has a good time there and it is great for Johnny to explore in a relatively safe environment (and I get to practice my French with the other momma's and babysitters).
Me and Johnny. All the ladies at La Petite Decouverte just love him and he loves all the attention too!
Our week wouldn't be complete without a few messes. James is pretty resourceful when it comes to getting what he wants. This time he took all the hard boiled eggs (I keep them in the fridge for a quick snack) and shelled them onto the floor and put the eggs into a dirty cup with water. He informed me that he was making a "shake." Yumm!Wanna sip?
On Saturday we went to the Versoix Chocolate Fextival. We took the train which James was very excited about!Aren't my boys so cute? Johnny was very interested in everything on the train.
We tried a Swiss specialty (Malakoffs). They are basically fried bread and cheese balls. Yummy!
Sadly we only bought a tiny bit of chocolate but it was still good. They did have 1 franc cups of chocolate fondue over fruit that were really good/rich. It was just enough to hit the spot. Even Johnny (who got ahold of my cup somehow) liked his tiny taste.Having more fun on the train ride home.James is a bit of an explorer and he has no qualms of just running off by himself.
After naps we went back outside to play in the "backyard" area of our building. The weather was really nice and James and Brian and Johnny got to get some wiggles out.Too cute!
A plane!
It really is harder than you think trying to get a good picture of a baby being thrown up into the air.
Seriously.
He needs a haircut!
Chasing daddy.
More cuteness.
It was a good week.

So so cute! :) I love how resourceful James can be. I am not sure any of my kids would sneak in the fridge to get a hard boiled egg. Cant wait to see you.

Johnny-Lu's smile is so sweet. No guile or mischief at all--yet.
