We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Our cornicopia was certainly full this holiday season. (Yes, I just used the word cornicopia; deal with it) First off, we were blessed with the birth of our very handsome and healthy son James Brian. He got all dressed up for dinner, but fell asleep long before dinner was ready.
We feel like we have finally nestled down in our house here in the Lone Star State, and Brian is enjoying his work very much. The Gillespie Family was also grateful this Thanksgiving to have Brian's mom in town for the holiday. We enjoyed a very modest, yet delicious meal this year; no huge spread with all the fixings. Becky got to take the day off from cooking so that she could rest and tend to the little man. Brian put his cooking skills to the test and took charge of cooking the main course. Grandma took charge of the side dishes, and it all came together very nicely. Although Turkey is a traditional Thanksgiving staple, we decided this year to deviate slightly and cook a chicken instead. It was very tasty and quite fulfilling. We are so grateful for all of our many blessings and our families that bind us together.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm so glad little James was here for Thanksgiving this year! I was beginning to think he was going to miss it!
